Take stock now of your supplies and equipment. Order what you will need, clean what you have, and plan your Greenhouse crops and garden areas. Start with a piece of graph paper and force yourself to be realistic. You only have so much room!
Examine your plant material before you put it into the growing space. Do NOT try to rekindle a diseased or dying plant. They are a ready host for pests and viruses. It’s better in the long run to cut your loss. Don’t forget to weed your greenhouse. The neater your Greenhouse is, the healthier the plants’ environment will be.
You may reuse pots and flats with success. Remove debris and dip in Physan 20 solution or a bleach solution (1 part bleach to 9 parts water) and let air dry.
If you had a hint of disease in your containers or a plant that died for some unknown reason, do NOT reuse the soil. Empty your container out, sanitize, and start with fresh soil. Your plants will have a much better success rate.
